We hard core partied for year of the dragon last year getting; hats, food, gold coins, and traditional gifts. Mr Incredible and I are linguists and love celebrating the Chinese new year because each country celebrates it in Asia at different times but our beautifully rich in tradition. Japan ceased to all around celebrate the Chinese new year in the 1800s but they celebrate the western one. My friend that lived in Tokyo and areas around that still did celebrated Chinese new years. Vietnam follows the lunar calendar and has moon cakes too. My Mutter wanted a dragon hat so we had to have a party.

So we highlighted Chinese culture. We had so much fun with games of luck. One was with gold foil and we tested our skills of chopsticks. Most country in Asia have a different way of holding the chopsticks from the ends to the middle. Each country that uses them all citizens learn how to grab one single grain of rice. In North America we are not that exact with a fork or a spoon.

Here’s the invite we used! I hope you have the best year of the snake! We got poke sticks and dragon legos to celebrate. Disney had the cutest year of the Rabbit merch a few years ago in the US. It was adorable.
