We decided to go to the Lantern Festival at the Aquarium in Draper because they are open until 10. Most museums like the Big Easy close at 5, even DC museums normally have a 9-5. Utah is unique with these extended hours with here- Thanksgiving pointe too -so we took advantage of it of these extended hours. At the Aquarium most of the animals were asleep so we stayed out and saw the prettiest lights. That reflected a lot of the exhibits in the aquarium has like the corpse flower, otters and penguins. The Claw that U2 toured with in 2011 (we saw it in Denver) to see it at the aquarium nestling the spectacular lanterns underneath it- was quite a delight.

At least the corpse flower didn’t smell like the real one in bloom. The full bloom smell is that of death hence its name. It’s so gross we once years ago accidentally walked into the room where it was in full bloom. Great for ecosystem not good on the nose.
We even got the treasure hunt prize that was hidden in amongst the lanterns. If my little Peanut didn’t have the courage to keep looking when the rest of us quit.
